Sunday Afternoon Boat Ride

It is a beautiful early fall afternoon.  Time for a simple boat ride - no fishing gear.  We saw several birds.  Lots of Mallards eating among the lily pads in the channel between our lake and the next one.

At one of the eagles' nests there was a juvenile (no white head yet) sitting above his/her nest (long dark spot in photo) waiting for a parent to return to possibly feed and keep company.  The juvenile who can fly just squawked for attention.  Parent was sitting in its usual spot 75 yards away (not in the picture.)
