Wisconsin Taxes

Last year's taxes were so ugly I could barely look at them.  This year I was eager to see how everything shook out because 2011 was the first full year of retirement.  We are getting a refund from the Feds, having to pay Illinois, of course, and Wisconsin was a wash - no refund - no payment from us.  That works for us.  The fun thing about Wisconsin taxes is that there are 10 organizations that you could donate to if you wanted to.  Here they are as they were listed:

1. Endangered resources
2. Packers football stadium
3. Breast cancer research
4. Veterans trust fund
5. Multiple sclerosis
6. Firefighters memorial
7. Prostate cancer research
8. Military family relief
9. Feeding America
10. Red Cross WI Disaster Relief

Endangered resources (which I don't even know what that is) must be really important to be before the Packers stadium!  3 through 10 are all serious, helpful, worthwhile organizations.  Wisconsin is just too fun!
